Sports briefs: Stampede to play rivals more often
For the first time in franchise history, the Stampede will open the U.S. Hockey League season on the road, at Sioux City on Oct. 2. The Herd’s home opener is Oct. 15 against the Under-18 U.S. Development Team. The 2010-11 USHL schedule was announced Thursday.
