Service effort delivers 100,000-member plateau
Indiana Members Credit Union, the largest Indianapolis based credit union, has reached the 1 0 0,000-member milestone.
"This is truly a very big deal for our credit union," said IMCU's chief executive officer, Ron Collier, in announcing the membership total. "Out of over 8,000 credit unions in the United States, Indiana Members now ranks near the top 100 in total members.
"This is a tribute to the kind of service we provide to the people who join IMCU," Collier continued. "From our very humble beginnings with several people investing $5 to start the credit union in 1956, to the size we are today is simply amazing. We try every day to treat people as individuals and keep our products simple and easy to understand."
Indiana Members Credit Union was founded on the IUPUI campus more than 52 years ago, and has grown to be the largest credit union in Central Indiana with 25 branches."

Darlene Hayden to manage Stop Eleven Branch

Darlene Hayden, an Indiana Members Credit Union management veteran, has been named manager of the new Stop Eleven Branch that is under construction and scheduled to open soon in Franklin Township .
Hayden has worked in management at Indiana Members for the past nine years, and previously worked in consumer lending for 12 years.
Indiana Members officials point out that Hayden has a wonderful rapport with credit union members, and possesses a real understanding of the credit union's financial products and services. Most recently, she has served as the manager of the St. Francis-Beech Grove Branch.
Hayden said she is anxiously awaiting the opening of the new branch, which is in close proximity of St. Francis Hospital-Indianapolis, located in Franklin Township at Stop 11 Road and Emerson Avenue.
"The Sisters of St. Francis always focus on joyful service and compassionate care for their patients," Hayden acknowledged. "These values are extended through their employees and the community. I am honored and excited to be of service to the hospital and to the entire community in the area."
The new 3,200-square-foot facility is located at the northwest corner of the Stop 11 and Arlington Avenue intersection. It will feature four drive-up lanes, two ATMs, safe-deposit boxes, a business depository, and Saturday hours.
Indiana Members has over 25 branch facilities, including the Stop Eleven Branch opening soon at 5940 East Stop 11 Road and four other southside locations:
- St. Francis-Beech Grove Branch, 1701 Albany Street
- Southside Branch, 5047 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis
- Greenwood Branch, 1115 North Madison Avenue, Greenwood
- Center Grove Branch, 1604 South State Road 135

Cheryl Streeval appointed nurse navigator
Cheryl Streeval, R.N., has been appointed as nurse navigator for the Lung Cancer Center at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers.
She will assist lung cancer patients and their families in coordinating diagnostic appointments and physician visits, help them manage their symptoms, provide education, make patients aware of clinical trial availability and very importantly, help in easing patient anxiety.
Streeval joins two other nurses at St. Francis who are designated as navigators to help patients with colorectal and head and neck cancers.
Streeval comes to her new position from University of Cincinnati Physicians , where she was an oncology research nurse. She oversaw pharmaceutical clinical trials and worked closely with patients to schedule treatments, scans and labs. She previously worked at Oncology/Hematology Care of Cincinnati as an oncology infusion nurse.
A resident of Columbus, Indiana, Streeval earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing.
The St. Francis Lung Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary group of physician specialists experienced in and dedicated to the prevention and treatment of lung cancers.
The physicians of the Lung Cancer Center meet regularly to review and discuss treatment plans, examine new developments in clinical and basic science that could be beneficial to patients, adhere to evidence-based guidelines and protocols for patient care, and seek to enroll patients in the latest clinical research protocols.

Yust to head up managed care contracting
Gregory Yust has been named as vice president of managed care contracting at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers.
He is responsible for coordinating managed care contracting efforts and payor relationships for the collective network of 13 hospitals in Indiana and Illinois owned and operated by the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services Inc.
Yust comes to St. Francis from Sagamore Health Network Inc., where he served as president and chief executive officer from 1997 until last January. At Sagamore, he headed the second largest managed care network in the state and was responsible for the long-range strategic planning and positioning of the company in the health-care marketplace.
"Greg established strong fiscal controls and ensured sound operational management that resulted in effective managed care services and products at Sagamore," said Jay R. Brehm, executive vice president and regional chief financial officer at St. Francis. "He brings great insight and experience to his new role at St. Francis."
From 1987 to 1997, Yust was vice president of managed care services at St. Vincent Hospital. He coordinated activities with medical staff representation and was responsible for developing the St. Vincent Care Management Organization.
Prior to that, Yust worked at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville as a controller, responsible for maintaining the hospital's general ledger and associated accounting functions. From 1978 to September 1982, he performed accounting, financial and rate analyses for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Indiana.
A certified public accountant, Yust earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ball State University. He holds leadership and membership positions with several professional organizations, including the Hospital Financial Management Association.
An Indianapolis resident, Yust is married and has three children.
