Meeting host showcases talented orchestra

The regular monthly meeting of the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce took on a more formal and festive ambience on Tuesday, April 8, when the organization gathered for its regular monthly meeting at the Dr. E.B. Carver Community Educational & Technology Center.

Hosted by the Franklin Township Education Foundation, the meeting included musical prelude by the talented Franklin Township Chamber Orchestra. Under the direction of Rachael Lanigan, the orchestra includes students from Franklin Central High School and Franklin Township Middle School West.

In addition to chamber members and their guests, the noon-hour meeting was attended by several members of the of the Foundation's Executive Committee and directors of the non-profit organization. The group's primary mission is to have a positive impact on the community by supporting, enhancing and creating unlimited educational opportunities in the public schools of Franklin Township.

Members of the FT Chamber of Commerce and their guests enjoy special music by the Franklin Township Orchestra and a meal prepared and catered by the FTCSC Food Service Department's STAR Express. The Franklin Township Education Foundation serves as host for the Chamber's regular monthly meeting being held at the Dr. E.B. Carver Community Education & Technology Center.
